Hotels of Dalian China
Dalian is one of China's most economically thriving ports and a haven for travelers and businessmen alike. In such circumstances the city is full of decent hotels, mostly at the mid to upper price range. For those searching for accommodation there are a few factors to take into account. If you are here for shopping or nightlife, and possibly for business travelers as well, a situation in Zhongshan district, as close to Zhongshan Square as possible is probably your best option. For those here out for pure relaxation a good choice would be to take a hotel somewhere a little further out of town, near or on the Southern Sea Road. The best of these hotels is probably the Sea Horizon.
The town is crammed with top end hotels, with many well-known names fighting to be top dog, including the Holiday Inn, the Shangri-La Hotel and the Swissotel. These hotels are all well furnished and with helpful and friendly staff, but you will pay international price for all of this. Two equally nice, but cheaper, five star options are the Harbour View Hotel, convenient and well-equipped, and the Furama Hotel, a Japanese joint venture and probably the best in town.
At the middle range, the Wanda International Hotel and the Golden Shine (international) Hotel provide four star hotel service with three star hotel price. Both of them provide lodging, dining, business and entertainment facilities. Prices range from RMB300 to RMB800.
There are not many budget hotels in Dalian, but you can try the Norinco Hotel for rock bottom prices, or, for a bit more, the Huadu Hotel which enjoys a good location and decent service.
